Similar to Tilt-a-Whirl.
The name is in honor of Velvet Mocha, which it resembles quite a bit, but this is hybrid from seed. Ironically, I lost Velvet Mocha this year.
It’s fluorescent brown! Looks like it might have parentage of any of the following: Some random Kong, Kingswood Torch, Festive Dance…who knows? Sure wish I had more than one picture.
Unfortunately we only have one photo of this one, but it is pretty spectacular. It really does have an iridescent quality…orange to brown to magenta to purple. Fringy leaves resemble moose antlers.
This one from Rosy Dawn is probably closest to my “Rosebud.” We kept it in a shady part this summer. Next year we’ll try it with more sun and maybe it will get more colorful.

This one grew up from a seedling last year and came into its own this year.
